When Utkarsh first consulted us on 3 May 2024, he was suffering from rapid blinking and twitching of both eyes for nearly two years. The problem worsened significantly during reading and prolonged visual concentration, especially when studying on a laptop. Although there was no defect in vision, the involuntary blinking had become distressing and embarrassing.
Initial Case History
According to the history given during the consultation, the trouble began during his school years when academic pressure increased. During his 10th-class preparation, prolonged reading and digital note-making on a laptop triggered excessive blinking and eye twitching.
Along with this, he had a long-standing history of Rhinosinusitis, diagnosed in August 2019, for which he had been taking:
* nasal spray regularly
* inhaler twice daily
* anti-allergic tablets during weather changes
He also reported:
* dust allergy
* nasal blockage
* recurrent summer epistaxis (nose bleeding) for nearly 10 years
* deviation of the left nasal bone previously evaluated by an ENT specialist
Despite continuous conventional treatment, his dependence on inhalers and nasal sprays remained unchanged.
Emotional Burden During School Years
The most challenging period occurred during the COVID years, when online classes became compulsory. Continuous screen exposure and academic stress aggravated his condition significantly. He often stayed awake for long hours preparing notes, and gradually the blinking became severe enough to disturb his studies.
His father became extremely anxious about his future—whether he would be able to pursue higher education independently, drive, or manage life confidently.
A psychiatric consultation was also taken at a tertiary centre, where suppressive medicines were prescribed. Although symptoms reduced temporarily, new visual discomfort developed and studying became even more difficult.
Beginning of Homoeopathic Treatment
After watching several evidence-based case videos, Utkarsh’s father contacted Dr Ravi Singh.
At the first consultation, reassurance itself brought visible relief to the family. They were told clearly that this was a manageable condition and that individualised classical homoeopathy would be pursued patiently.
A detailed constitutional case analysis was performed, and treatment was started according to classical homoeopathic principles.
The patient visited at clinic on 17 Jul 2024, he reported 30% improvement in blinking of eye but worse during nervousness , Tic disorder getting relief not jerking on left side. His dust allergy getting reduced. Sinusitis problem improved but no any change in his stammering. Treatment continued and counselling for his nervousness is done.
The patient visited at the clinic on 11 Aug 2025, all complaints are better , not only blinking problem got resolved but also his stammering and respiratory problem. He is now off the inhaler which he was using for years. Child is going with metro without any trouble. Father shared the journey of disease how his Child got wrongly prescribed psychiatric medication at KGMC and that also did’t had any effect. Treatment continued.
The patient visited at clinic on 2 Nov 2024, he reported blinking of eye getting reduced but sometime blinking reoccur rapidly with excitement, while spasm on face disappear. Nasal polyp getting reduced only redness remains. Respiratory problem occur only evening during weather change. He is getting smarter day by day. Treatment with the same medicine continued.
Patient visited at clinic on 7th Jan 2026. Blinking is not troubling him anymore.
In this cold weather also he is doing exercise. Stammering also reduce which was partly due to respiratory difficulty.
