Let us share another case of the annoying skin disease Seborrhoeic dermatitis. This disease is one of the leading causes of hair loss, especially in males. Most patients are unaware of the actual disease condition and consider this disease as dandruff only. But dandruff is just a part or outcome of this disease condition. It is a disease of altered scalp condition due to over secretion of sebaceous glands. Later due to excess oil secretion, there occurs the growth of a fungus called as Malezesia furfur . The situation results in crusts and scabs on the scalp, inside and behind the ear pinna, at the corners of the nose and eyebrows, the beard area and sometimes the chest area. Few patients present with acne at the back.
The patients often complain of clogging their nails with greasy and offensive material while scratching.
Life stress is one of the major causes of the disease, especially in career-oriented students.
The cause of hair fall in such cases is mostly scratching, which results in the loosening of already weak hair strands at the roots.
The dermatologist often prescribes Ketakonazol or salicylic acid shampoo, which washes the already-formed materials but seldom controls the excess secretion- the root cause of the disease.
Honest dermatologists often admit that this disease can only be controlled but not cured.

This patient has suffered from severe hair loss for six years and dandruff on the scalp. He visited many dermatologists, and they prescribed Ketakonazol shampoos and anti-fungal tablets. Those were giving him only temporary relief.

The patient visited at the clinic on 12th April 2023. He got almost 90 % cured in his condition of Seborrhoeic Dermatitis. Prior to the treatment he was getting frequent flakes at the scalp and he needed to wash head frequently.
The patient visited the clinic on 28 Oct 2024, and his seborrheic dermatitis has been cured 100%. The itching has also been completely resolved. Seborrheic dermatitis is a curable condition. Now, he no longer experiences any dandruff, and there is no pain at the hair roots, which he had reported before our treatment. He also mentioned that he didn’t get relief from previous treatments, which included shampoos and lotions.
