This lady began noticing a few drops of clear fluid leaking from her right nostril, which caused her great concern. Upon consulting a neurologist, she was advised to undergo an MRI to detect any potential defect. The MRI report revealed a 1.2 mm defect.
The report stated: “There is a very small defect seen in the roof of the right posterior ethmoid sinus with herniation of CSF into the defect. The defect measures 1.2 mm in size.”
She became anxious after researching the condition online and learning about the potential need for surgery, as recommended by the surgeons. The idea of surgery made her very apprehensive.
She was introduced to the concept of medicine transmission through hair as a treatment option. Although her husband was initially skeptical about this method, they decided to give it a try, viewing it as a ray of hope.
First Consultation CSF leak
The treatment began after a detailed case-taking on 28th June 2022, following the submission of the patient’s hair for the transmission method.
During a follow-up on 9th August 2022 via Zoom, she reported no CSF leakage, although she occasionally experienced a wet sensation in her nose.
On 25th October 2024, the patient had a Zoom call with Dr. Ravi, during which she inquired about treatment for her newborn. She expressed her gratitude, stating that our treatment had saved her from a surgical procedure and hoped her child could also benefit from similar care. She confirmed that she had not experienced any CSF leakage since her treatment was paused two years ago.
